Healing Arts
ALK+ Positive Healing Arts offers a supportive space for patients and care partners to connect, heal, and grow through creative and therapeutic practices. From art and writing to yoga and group discussions, these programs are led by compassionate facilitators who empower participants to find resilience, relaxation, and community while navigating the challenges of an ALK diagnosis.

ALK Chat
ALK Chat is a virtual gathering space for patients and care partners (pALKies) to connect, share, and support one another. Whether you are navigating treatment side effects, exploring options or just need to talk about life beyond cancer, this is a safe, welcoming place to be heard.

Art Therapy
This class aims to meet people where they are, empowering self-growth and building connections by using art interventions to help participants manage stress, build community, and develop coping strategies through the creative process.

Book Club
If you’re an ALKie who loves to read, this is the place for you. Our book club isn’t just about best sellers (though we pick the good ones); it’s about connection.
It’s more than a book club- we are a group that gets you. Join us!

Care Partner Check-in
This is a space for those who are supporting individuals with ALK-positive cancer to share experiences, swap practical advice, and gather resources. Whether you’re looking for a listening ear, or just a moment to breathe, this space is for you.

Chair Yoga
The class focuses on gaining strength, mobility, and ease of movement, incorporating breathing and meditation to calm the mind. Most exercises are performed seated, with some standing and balancing poses for a well-rounded experience.

Coffee Talk
Bring your coffee (or beverage of choice) and lean into others on the same path. Whether a patient or “pALKie” (care partner), join us for this informal chat where we discuss life and living … with ALK-positive cancer.

Death Café
This is safe and open space for meaningful conversations about death, dying and LIVING. Participants can share, listen, and reflect through group discussions that foster connection, understanding, and a sense of community.

Explore with Writing
Sessions encourages participants to express their thoughts and feelings about emotionally challenging experiences through writing exercises, such as poems and prompts, fostering emotional well-being.

Guided Imagery
This class promotes deep relaxation and enhance physical and emotional well-being, participants will engage their imaginations to manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, and pain, fostering healing of the mind, body, and spirit.

Men’s Group
This group provides a space for men with an ALK+ diagnosis to discuss their concerns and connect with others facing similar challenges and to build support and camaraderie within the ALK community.

Mindset Reset
These sessions focus on transforming participants’ perspectives from merely surviving to thriving with cancer. Heather Smith guides individuals in resetting their mindset, reigniting passions, and generating energy to live a fulfilling life despite their ALK diagnosis.

New ALKies
New ALKies provides a platform for the newly diagnosed, or their “pALKies” (care partners), to lean in to others walking this same path. Navigating this new life can be overwhelming and lonely. However, you are not alone.

Single ALKies
Our close-knit, (mostly) single group is built on shared experiences, real friendships, and unwavering support—because sometimes, the best help comes from those who truly understand.

Yoga
Here participants learn techniques that emphasizes the practice of breath and movement to calm the mind and staying in the moment, enhancing overall well-being. Hanka Mosher, diagnosed with ALK Positive in 2017, has practiced yoga for 30 years.

Young ALKies
Young ALKies is a space for those 50 and under to connect, share, and support one another through every high and low of an ALK-positive diagnosis.

ALKtALK
Join us for ALKtALKs, our flagship speaker series, featuring discussions with leading ALK experts, research teams, thoracic and palliative care physicians and mental health professionals, who provide critical and current content to support, educate and empower ALK-positive patients and care partners.
