Participate in Survey to Help our Medical Committee

The ALK Positive Inc. Medical Committee is seeking patient and caregiver input to enhance DDI Manager — an online resource that helps identify potential drug–drug interactions between cancer treatments and other medications. Your feedback can make a real difference in improving this tool for the entire ALK+ community. Participation takes just 10–15 minutes.

The ALK Positive Inc. Medical Committee needs YOUR help to improve an online tool called DDI Manager. We are doing this to help all ALK+ cancer patients. Follow these 3 easy steps:

1. READ THIS INTRODUCTION TO DRUG–DRUG INTERACTIONS (DDI) AND DDI MANAGER

• What are Drug–Drug Interactions?

Drug–Drug Interactions (DDI) are interactions that may happen when a patient is taking more than one drug. DDI can make a drug less effective, cause more side effects, or lead to unexpected reactions in your body.

• What is the purpose of the DDI Manager?

The DDI Manager is an online tool that helps healthcare professionals and patients check for possible interactions between cancer treatments and other medications a patient is taking. It provides up-to-date, expert-reviewed information and practical advice on how to safely manage these interactions.

2. THEN USE THE DDI MANAGER (about 5-10 minutes)

• How to use DDI Manager:

1. Go to www.ddimanagers.com/search/lung-cancer.

2. Enter all your medications into the search bar (both prescription and over-the-counter).

– The tool will show you if there are any known interactions between the drugs.

– It will also provide a description of the interaction, the level of risk (e.g., minor, moderate, major), and recommendations on what to do (e.g., avoid combination, monitor closely, adjust dosage).

– The information on www.ddimanagers.com is intended for healthcare professionals and may contain technical language or clinical recommendations.

– If the tool shows a potential interaction, use it as a starting point for a conversation with your healthcare provider—do not stop or adjust your medications on your own.

3. THEN COMPLETE THIS SHORT SURVEY

https://forms.gle/85v7rcmbQg35biRg9 (about 5-10 minutes)

The survey is open to both patients and care partners from any country in the world.

We have 59 completed surveys so far.

We would like at least 100 completed surveys in order to get maximum input from patients and care partners to improve the DDI Manager.
